Group 2, otherwise known as buildings 122, 123, 124, and 40. This group of buildings was originally designated for female patients and was later used as the children's group after buildings 41-43 (group 4) were built in 1932.

- Building 122 was built in 1912 as a patient ward. The building was structurally unstable towards the end, with many collapsed floors. As it was deemed to be too far gone, it was demolished in September 2012.
- Building 123 was built in 1915 as the kitchen for the group. Like 122, this building was also structurally unstable, having suffered several floor collapses. As it was deemed to be beyond repair, it was demolished in September 2012; this was the first building to fall during an early round of demolition between September 2012 and March 2013.
- Building 124 was built in 1915 as a patient ward. It was demolished in the mid-1990s after it had been destroyed by fire in 1994.
- Building 40 was built in 1932 and was the infirmary for the group. This building was later used as a daycare until it was vacated in the mid 1990s, shortly before the hospital closed completely. The last remaining building in group 2, it was demolished in the winter of 2019.
