Dobbin's Lookout (elevation 2,330 feet)

Of the four lookouts in South Mountain Park, Dobbins Lookout may not be the highest, but it has the biggest parking lot and the most spectacular views of the sprawling Valley.

Dusk is the perfect time to drive to the top of South Mountain. To reach Dobbins Lookout, drive south on Central Avenue past Baseline Road and the park's gates. The main road turns into Summit Road. Just follow the signs. If you can't read the signs, remember, the road ends at the sparkling ruby red lights of the communications towers above.
