Kanturk (Ceann Toirc)


Kanturk is a small market town in the northwest of County Cork. It is the largest town in the Barony of Duhallow, which is larger (in area) than Co. Dublin. It is a place of interest for tourists in the area, as the last castle funded by Elizabeth I is built locally. The town are also the base of the most successful Hurling club in the whole of Duhallow.
