Securitas Cash Management Ltd depot, Vale Road, Tonbridge

The Securitas Cash Management depot in Vale Road, Tonbridge. On 22 February 2006, between 01:00 and 02:15 UTC a robbery took place and successfully stole the largest cash amount in British crime history. At least six men abducted and threatened the family of the manager, tied up fourteen staff members and stole more than £53 million in bank notes.

Staggeringly, the vast majority of Tonbridge people had no idea the place was a cash handling depot and on the morning of the robbery, woke up to discover the world's media besieging the town.
