Beorma Quarter is the name given to the redevelopment currently beginning on this site. Incorporating the Grade II listed Digbeth Cold Storage building and and other fine frontages onto Digbeth, the development will see the construction of a predominantly office-led complex with apartments. The centrepiece of the scheme will be a 110 metre tall office tower adjacent to the Bull Ring Car Park.
Construction work will begin on the southeastern corner of the site with the construction of a small office building, although plans could change for a hotel here. The Digbeth Cold Storage building will also be renovated into a business start-up centre, bringing the building back into life.
Demolition work began on site in mid-2011.
