This museum comprises the full gamut of Korean art from the reproductions of Korean tomb painting to the Japanese occupation to Socialist realism. The layout and tour will show one the North Koreans know a few things about museum design.
The Gallery building is a part and parcel of the Kim Il Sung square architecural ansemble. The roof is decorated with a huge cardboard flag of the Korean Peoples Army (a red flag with a decorated five-pointed star in the center).
