Chester has the most complete walls of any city in the UK and is often known as 'England's Walled City'. Many people come to walk these walls which date from the Roman times but have been repaired since. They are all Grade I listed. There is a famous Victorian clock on the Eastgate arch which is photographed frequently by tourists.
