  • Great school,never forgotten.1962-1966
  • Jamhuri is a bad school as long as you have not been there. I spent my last two years of secondary here (2006-2007) I was able to unlock my potential academically, socially, sports wise and in leadership. Its the best school in mordern Africa.
  • my best school. did form 1, 2 and part of 3 from 1978-80. vice principal was agarwala, french teacher was mrs mir, excellent labs, great teachers. had projector movies in the hall on wed.
  • 1956-1959 First primary school, had to walk everyday to and from school from our home in River Road. Loved every minute of it. Fondest memories grand court like buildings and lush surroundings and the street hawker o/s the school selling 'bhajias'. He would only sell one portion to each pupil saying "Bauv Bhajia Kare Kajia" more bhajias will give you stomach ache make you cry) Laid foundation for my highly successful educational achievements leading me to become a professional engineer/consultant.
  • Everyone got it wrong ! The picture of the school is JAMHURI HIGH SCHOOL. ( Formerly Duke of Gloucester ) Its to the North East in the map above. I know because I was in both schools and still based in Nairobi ( Sept 2016 ) Look CAREFULLY.....
