At any point of time there would be atleast hundred horses training over there
t's not exactly Ascot, but Mumbai's Mahalaxmi Racecourse is probably as close as you can get to rubbing shoulders with high society fillies and cocktail party stallions. During the racing season between November and February, few events are as well attended as the Mumbai Derby, an annual affair with all the traditional English trimmings: hats, gloves, cucumber sandwiches, scones. And of course magnificent thoroughbreds, belonging mostly to Indian booze barons and local industrialists. But save for hardcore punters, these are merely the sideshow.added by bhanwar singh chauhan

  • the racecourse is awonderful place, open spaces, lovely to watch the beautiful graceful animals stride along. the centre garden should be a real show piece. eg like they have at shatin racecourse in hongkong. we have the space and we can do it. do not let any buildings come up. you can make a pretty jogging park and for horseriding. do not shift this venue anywhere.it lets this part of south bombay breathe.
  • aeromodeling is fun out here
  • can I go there and ride a horse? or do I need to be a member or pay anything?
  • Mumbai's most beautiful area.
  • is it conducted regularly ? and when? Can public visit to see and reciprocate with aeromodellers?
