Opened in 1934, Melaka Hospital at a cost of RM2.34 (1934) million, by Sir Cecil Clementi, (Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Straits Settlements, which included Singapore, and High Commissioner for the Malay States, from February 1930 to November of 1934) on 12 February 1934.
