Started as a Lower Primary School in the late fifties or early sixties. High school (8-10) was introduced in 1974-75. First batch of SSLC in 1976-77. This was the only place of learning in the sixties and seventies for villages such as Chakkupallam, Anakkara and Chellarkovil. The school was known for its dedicated teachers in those days.
