Badgewood (Fleet-Rousmaniere House) - Late 17th early 18th Century (Oyster Bay Cove, NY)

The original structure dates from the 1600's - tradition has it that the original core of the house was built by Thomas Fleet of Huntington in 1690 - with wings added in the early 1800's. The beauty of that house is, it probably traces the entire history of the area, from the time it was first settled to when it became a place for country estates.
