The Dharmapur Bode Gumba, located in the North site of Old Thimi, is a famous hamasery with a history of more than 50 years. As the Bode economy and society develop and progress and as the Tibetan reform and opening are accelerated, the Dharmapur Bode Gumba has become not only a holy place for people of Madhayapur thimi and Nepalies but also a well-known tourist attraction.

Newly Built in B.S. 2045, the Dharmapur Bode Gumba combines Tibetan and Han architectural features. It houses numerous valuable cultural relics, the most famous of which is the Sakyamuni Statue and Land brought by Rudra Bahadur Shrestha to the Gumba. An ancient Stupa built in front of the Gumba. It is called the Guruba's Chaitya.
Harimaya Shrestha has been a monk at the Dharmapur Bode Gumba since 1942. She is now the deputy director of the Gumba's Administration
