This was originally (pre-1989) a Safeway, which became AppleTree in 1989, and sold to Randalls in 1994. In fall 2010, Safeway (which bought Randalls in the late 1990s) pulled the plug on the small store (which was the last Randalls store east of I-35), which "didn't even have a meat market" according to the newspaper on shopper reactions. It reopened as El Rancho Supermercado (Hispanic supermarket) in 2011.
