An example of the tactical reconnaissance variant of the ubiquitous F-4 Phantom II, S/N 67-0452 is displayed as an example of the last manned tactical reconnaissance aircraft in the inventory of the US Air Force. Initially assigned to one of several frontline USAF recon squadrons up its delivery from McDonnell-Douglas, S/N 67-0452 spent its last years operating with the Eglin-based 3246th Test Wing testing of the Advanced Tactical Airborne Reconnaissance System (ATARS). Retired from flying duty in 1993, 67-0452 is displayed in the markings of the 46th Test Wing.
