Approximately 28,000 square metres(350,000 square feet) in floor space with numerous amenities including several science laboratories, a library, gymnasium, swimming pool and library. Senior middle school level is the terminal formal education of a north Korean; the next level is a specialized pre-university secondary instiution such as a trade school, military academy or a revolutionary school. This institution was formally established with the rest of the DPRK education system in 1948. This is one of the schools of the hard core-class of the DPRK, particularly members of the Central Committee, the SPA and the Ministries. WPK/NDC Chairman, General Kim Jong il graduated from here to the Mangyongdae Revolutionary Institute.
