Opened September 2016, this Safeway replaced a large CVS/pharmacy with a similar footprint, which had been there for many years (including names like Thrifty and Payless), and then Longs Drugs. The store was huge, featuring everything from clothes to a garden center, but after CVS took over and rebranded the store, those departments began to disappear and by the time it closed in summer 2014, most of the store was unused.
