The Friends Committee on National Legislation finished a seven-year campaign to rebuild its national offices on Capitol Hill in the Fall of 2005. The new structure, located across from the Hart Senate Office Building, is designed to put a premium on natural light, is compliant with the Americans With Disabilities Act, and walks gently on the earth by using modern, environmentally friendly architecture. The building meets LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) standards for certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
