Our Wellsboro glass manufacturing plant is the birthplace of the ribbon machine used for mass producing incandescent bulbs, the invention that made Thomas Edison's dream to light the world a reality. The machine, which is still in use after being modernized over the years by employees (and duplicated around the world), has been named a Mechanical Engineering Landmark, an invention which changed history.
