Surbiton railway station is in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames in South London. The station is served by South West Trains, and is in Travelcard Zone 6. The station was built in 1937 and was designed by J Robb Scott. With its' curved walls and tall windows and open spaces, it is considered to be one of the finest Modernist stations in Great Britain and is a Grade II listed building. Service The typical off-peak service from the station is: 10tph (trains per hour) to London Waterloo via Wimbledon 2tph to Hampton Court 2tph on the Waterloo/Woking via Weybridge service 2tph to Basingstoke 2tph to Guildford via Cobham & Stoke D'Abernon 2tph on the Alton Line Platform one is for services to London Waterloo, as is platform two, however only early morning and late nights trains depart from this platform it is otherwise used for non-stop trains. Platform three is for trains to Alton and Basingstoke, whilst platform four is for services to Guildford (via Cobham), Hampton Court and Woking services.
