Spec Martin Municipal Stadium is where almost half of the film The Waterboy, starring Adam Sandler, was shot. It was the fictional home stadium of the The Mud-Dogs who had the worst record in collegiate football in the film. The movie was filmed in the late 1990s, and since that time, there have been renovations to the stadium enclosing the gridiron itself so you'll notice a few changes. Most noticeable are the buildings/structures to the north and south of the field itself which I believe to be concession stands, entrance gates, and restrooms. To support this claim of this being the actual filming locale, you'll notice a relatively large tree in the satellite photo on the northeast of the football field standing by itself. The same tree can be seen quite clearly in the film within the background in certain scenes, however a bit smaller and younger than it currently is shown in this photo.

The remaining segments of the film were either shot at surrounding areas within DeLand, Florida, such as Stetson University, or at the Citrus Bowl, located in the downtown area of Orlando, roughly 30 miles southwest of DeLand.
