Sainik School, Tilaiya
Established 1963. One of the best residential public school in India for boys providing quality education, physical training involving military drills, sports and other recreational facilities. The students are selected on the basis of an All-India selection test. Though the prime objective of the School is to prepare a group of students for the Indian Armed forces and act as a feeder institution to National Defence Academy, the students of the school has excelled in all walks of life including Indian Administrative Service, Business Management, Corporate India, InfoTech, Arts, Films & Television, Literature etc. Situated in the picturesque location near Tilaiya Dam (the first dam of independent India), the School with its motto, "Forward Ever" has truly lived upto the expectations of Shri V. Krishna Menon, the then Defence Minister who master minded its establishment in 1963 as one of the apex feeder institution for the armed forces in India. hi this Gaurav(2000-07).i just want to remind all of u that school is going to celebrate its golden jubilee in 2013. so just take out ur precious time n please be there even if u don't get an invitation bcoz its not possible to send invitation to all its alumni and after all there so no need of it as i feel as such its our second home |
