KAVERY RIVER SANGAM. KAVERY RIVER JOIN NARMADA RIVER.
Although the Kaveri´ganga˜ joins the Narmada˜ here, she retains her own existence and flows for one or one and a half miles along the shore of the Mandhata hill and then branches off to the north. Thereby the Omkareshvar island is formed. About one mile further down, at the {western} end of the Mandhata island, she joins the Narmada again. This is called the second Kaveri sangam.
