Birthplace of Aleksandr Kliment'evich YEREMIN (1921-1944), guards captain, Hero of the Soviet Union. Posthumously awarded title Hero of the Soviet Union 19.8.44. Awarded Order of Lenin, 2 orders of the Red Star, orders of the Great Patriotic War (1st class), Red Star. Name given to a street in Kursk, one apartment block bearing a commemorative plaque.
