Empire Talkies was initially owned by Late Kartarnath Malhotra(I.G.)- Father-in-law of Great actor Raj Kapoor & Father of actor Premnath. Present ownership of once glorious theatre (now dilapidated structure) is disputed.

  • Empire Theatre 100 yrs old building was collapsed on 2 aug due to rains
  • rightly said rohan,,,,property is owned by premnath's sons, its not disputed
  • It's lease is over now & premnath's young son kailash nath (Monty) came to jabalpur and surrenderd the preperty to cantonment board. They are no more owners of the property. It's cantonment board property now
