Museum of Tartus

An old basilic built over the oldest church in the area.It was said that Virgin Mary had visited it.Then the Crusaders made it a religious center after the the whole front of the building was shipped to Cyprus to furnish a palace. Ruined by the Turks then turned into a museum.
