stadium, football / soccer stadium, football premier league

Ibrox Stadium is a football stadium located on the south side of the River Clyde, on Edmiston Drive in the Ibrox district of Glasgow. It is the home ground of Scottish Premier League club Rangers F.C.
Opened as Ibrox Park in 1899, Ibrox is one of the oldest stadiums in Europe and presently the tenth largest in the United Kingdom. It is also the site of two major disasters and one of the first wave of all-seater football grounds in Britain. Its architectural importance was recognised in 1987 with the designation of its South Stand, now named the Bill Struth Main Stand, as a Category B listed building. It held UEFA five star status; which was superseded by a new system of classification.

  • Home of the World Record Holders for Domestic League Championships.
  • Now home to 'The Rangers' after the sad passing of Rangers FC who were liquidated in 2012
  • HNow Home to a little Scottish Division 3 team, although now they have won promotion to Division 2, it was inevitable as they completely over-pay their players to attract better talent.
