The border checkpoint Kulata - Promachonas is a checkpoint located on the Bulgarian-Greek Border near the village of Kulata on the Bulgarian side of the border and beyond it near the village of Dragotin (renamed in 1927 to Promachonas) at the Rupel Gorge, at the eponymous the gorge is a passage connecting Bulgaria with Thessaloniki. This is the main and the only permanent railway and road border checkpoint on the Bulgarian-Greek border.
