Formerly the Browns Farm Wildlife Management Area, this STA is approximately 6,430 acres in size. This area had been maintained as Everglades habitat, albeit somewhat degraded, and was never subjected to agricultural activities. Inflows to STA-2 is diverted from the S-6 pump station and distributed to three adjacent treatment cells.
