The AN/FSC-78 is a SHF communications terminal used to transmit and receive Frequency Division Multiple Access (FDMA) and Spread Spectrum Multiple Access (SSMA) Defense Communications System (DCS) carriers, SCTIS, and Navy C4I SHF circuits. The terminal configuration at Wahiawa SATCOM consist of two 60-foot parabolic “dish” antennas, which utilize the DSCS III satellites located in the Western and Eastern Pacific theaters.
