Buckhead Pool Hall, 30 Irby Avenue. For more than 50 years, the pool hall has been a storied hangout for students, professionals, cabbies, police and politicians. Opened in 1946 by James Lunsford, later owned by Gene Loudermilk and now by Mike Dowdle, it is the oldest bar in Buckhead. One of the most popular commercials in Europe for Levi's jeans was shot there, as were parts of a video on baseball legend Hank Aaron and numerous music videos. Minnesota Fats, one of the best pool players who ever lived, played there in 1957.

A dive pool hall gone yuppie hangout located next to a mechanics garage. In the last 5 years it has become one of the hottest bars in buckhead. Always packed, and always filthly it still sports people pouring out the front onto the street level porch. You can always pick up a game of pool in the back or just spill your drink on the pool table since most games end that way anyway.

If you go here you the night will be late, you will be alone very wasted, and you'll leave your credit card there. Go home, do not collect $200.
