  • I was told that the aquifer under Palm Springs starts all the way from Canada. Is this true?
  • It's not true. The aquifer under Palm Springs is actually tightly contained within the Coachella Valley. That makes it perfect for aquifer water storage, since the water isn't going to flow elsewhere.
  • But most of the water going into these recharging ponds comes from the Colorado River.
