The Historic heart of Basingstoke. The streets are pedestrianized and there are many shops and architecture from many different periods (except the more recent times). Close to Festival Place, the new shopping complex at Basingstoke, it features a farmer's market and steep streets - almost like in Kendal. London Street can be a bit rough at night.
