Having inaugurated July 5th, 2006, the new terminal of the airport Houari Boumedienne replaced the ancient Terminal a murder attempt had being aimed at which notably on August 26th, 1992 with couté life to 9 persons. Having constructed in 1950s the ancient international terminal had become obsolete. The new terminal constructs like that of Frankfurt and managed by Airports of Paris (ADP) for 4 years. It was constructed according to the last international norms what makes it one of the most modern of Africa with notably 16 telescopic footbridges which allow to disembark directly from the plane towards the terminal while in ancient it was necessary to disembark to the tarmac and to be transported in bus
