Park View, located across from Piedmont Park on the corner of 14th Street and Piedmont Avenue, is a three-story, 23 unit condominium which was originally built in the 1920's as an apartment building. Newly renovated into a condominium in 2001, it has witnessed 80 years of transformation in Midtown Atlanta. Its original brick exterior and front balconies are typical of the architecture of early 20th century apartment buildings in Atlanta, from the days when Margaret Mitchell lived just a few blocks away. Ubiquitous glass and steel towers are now rising on every available piece of land in Midtown, but because of the private ownership of each unit, Park View will live on through another century of change.
