  • wow are these plans are for real?
  • When the Scarborough RT opened in 1985, trains used the loop to the west of the station to serve the northbound platform. Apparently, it was too tight for the trains and there was a lot of loud screeching, so shortly after I was born (May 1988), they renovated the station to its current one-track layout.
  • Anyway, it's good to see that the RT's replacement will go up to Sheppard and Markham, but what I don't understand is why a) the Sheppard East LRT route will connect with it there instead of Scarborough Town Centre and b) neither route is a subway. (I'm sure either route would get a lot more ridership if it went further instead of just being stubs...)
