The Beartrack Mine is a former open pit, cyanide heap leach gold mine which is undergoing final gold recovery, reclamation, and closure. All mine operations and gold production ceased in 2000.

  • Never mind. A little research reveals it's an old gold mine at Leesburg, Idaho.
  • Toxic waste - don't go swimming in the green lake! It's full of acids!
  • The old gold digs and Chinese worker camps were from the 1800s. The new operation is 1980s to date.
