The Jews have lived mostly in the Lower Town(Orasul de Jos) and the railway station area(Elisabeth-vorstadt)
The Synagogue today is closed. In Sibiu/Hermannstadt only 24 Jews were living in 2006.
The Synagogue was repaired with funds allocated by the government of Israel.
