The late, well known & loved, Don Tognotti, who had built a number of renowned show vehicles was in the thick of things around the Sacramento area as the hot rod show circuit gained popularity throughout California in the late 1950s. He built cars, created and developed this popular speed shop, as well as ­promoted hot rod industry shows such as the The Sacramento Autorama, which has been in Sacramento for 57 years and is the 2nd longest running indoor car show in the World.
Established in 1964, Don's store, located in a former Safeway building @ Fulton & El Camino in the the heart of the Sacramento suburbs, was passed down to Don's son Dean and daughter Denee.
One of the last true "Speed Shops" specializing in custom & high performance parts and customizing accessories, as well as an enormous selection of custom and upgrade tires and wheels.
A Sacramento legacy lives on.
