This experiment in the field of technical education and training received formal recognition when industry and university joined to enter into a tri-partite MOU with VEDA IIT to offer an MS Program in VLSI Engineering. At VEDA IIT the industry-vetted lab experiments and design flows go hand in hand with classroom lectures and assignments which are the outcome of several years of industry collaboration. VEDA IIT entered into a partnership with world-class EDA, IP and FPGA vendors namely Cadence, Synopsys, Mentor, Magma, Sequence, Xilinx, Altera, Synplicity and Tensillica - providing students with the latest design tools to meet contemporary technology requirements.
Distinguished experts from industry - amongst others, from AMD, Cypress, eInfoChips, GD Micro Systems etc. - contribute to learning and teaching at VEDA IIT. As a result, not only is VEDA IIT producing job-ready professionals for the industry, industry experts have acclaimed that an MS student from VEDA IIT is equivalent to three-years experienced undergraduate employee working in similar industry, in terms of quality of work.
