The start of the Hindhead Tunnel Project.

This is where the commute to london for anyone living lower down the A3 than Liphook reaches a complete standstill to make way for the Tunnel Project, a bypass set to take traffic round Hindhead.
Currently being operated by Balfour Beatty, the predicted finish date for the project is simply "2011", signalling YEARS of traffic jams for anyone around.
The development has already caused complete uproar from locals and commuters alike, as they've already made a few mistakes on some sections.
And it's only the beginning...

Typical Surrey comment. Resistance and procrastination from Surrey residents and County Councillors alike has been strangling the economy of communities south of Hindhead for years. So much so that the M3 was routed to Southampton and not Portsmouth! Wake up Surrey; you're in the 21st century. Stop trying to turn yourselves and everyone else back to the culture and values of the 19th century.
