Shaniwar Wada(best place in pune)
Shaniwar Wada is a palace fort in the heart of Pune City, India.It is build by Shrimant Pahile Bajirao Peshwe in 1732. It was the seat of Peshwa rulers until 1818 when the Peshwas surrendered to British. In 1828 AD, an unexplained fire gutted the buildings in this palace complex. All that remains now, are their stone plinths and the perimeter fortification wall.

मराठ्यांनी या शनिवार वाड्यापासून अटकपर्यंत आपली सत्ता स्थापित केली होती. पण या मोठ्या साम्राज्याला कोण्या शत्रूने पराभूत केले नाही तर यांच्याच माणसांनी यांना आतून संपविले. त्यालाच हे लोक राजकारण म्हणतात. आता उरल्या फक्त आठवणी. असो... आपलीच माती आपलीच माणसं... दुसरं काय.. असं सगळं संपूर्ण मराट्यांच्या इतिहासात तुम्हाला पाहायला मिळेल....छत्रपती राजेसंभाजी यांना आपल्याच म्हणल्याजाणाऱ्या फितुरामुळे पकडले गेले. एका इंग्रज अधिकार्याने मराठ्यांबाबत लिहून ठेवले आहे की या जमातीला व्यापार कळत नाही. ही केवल प्रतिष्ठेसाठी आपलं सर्वस्व पणाला लावते.
