The whole LNG processing complex is called Snohvit LNG Export Terminal. Construction was started in 2003 and came on stream on August 2007. Processes gas from the Snohvit, Albatross and Askeladden gas fields via a 160 km pipeline. Annual production capacity is estimated at 5.75 billion cubic mtr LNG (or 4.3 million t/yr), 747,000 tons condensate, and 247,000 tons LPG. Total investment cost was NOK 34.2 billion for field development, pipeline, and land plant, and NOK5.4 billion for ships.
