  • EVIDENCE STILL VISIBLE FROM 100 YEARS AGO!!

  • no crater, the trees were still standing directly under the blast.
  • This is incorrect. No event crater has been found. This entry appears to be based on a rough epicenter estimate from 1927, which did not use WGS-84 based coordinates and in any case described something that happened thousands of meters in the air.
  • whoops, those are the modern coordinates. Still not an event crater though.
  • it happened on June 30, 1908. Did you notice how not a single news station covered the historical new!
  • I see no evidence that would conclude this as anything other than a natural geologic or geographic formation.
  • The more accurate term is "hypocenter," not "epicenter." The prefix "epi-" means over or above. An epicenter is the point on the Earth's surface directly above the origin of an earthquake or other comparable subterranean event (such as an underground nuclear test). The prefix "hypo-" means under or below. A hypocenter is the point on the Earth's surface directly under a high-altitude air burst (such as the atomic explosion over Hiroshima) or any other comparable atmospheric phenomenon (such as the Tunguska Event).
