Confederate Breastworks

The Confederate Breastworks sits atop Shenandoah Mountain, along US Rte 250 near Headwaters, VA. The site was used during the Civil War by soldiers under the command of General Andrew "Stonewall" Jackson, guarding the strategically important Shenandoah Valley. The image shows the view from the site looking west into Highland County, VA.
