This is the only hatchery of its kind in the entire world. Not only is it open to the public year round with many interactive exhibits, during the salmon season there is a constant volunteer presence to teach the public about the salmon life cycle and watershed steward ship. Should you visit, help support Friends of the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery (FISH) by putting a donation into the giant salmon sculpture in front of the hatchery. As FISH is run purely on donations, you will not only be helping the salmon, but helping the people from all over the world that visit the hatchery. |
