"Green Man's Tunnel" is an abandoned railroad tunnel now used to store rock salt.
The tunnel is rumored to be haunted by a horribly disfigured green-tinged man (or ghost) who acquired his abnormalities from either a power line accident or lightning strike.
The Green Man legend may be linked to Raymond Robinson (1910-1985), who lost most of his face in a childhood electrical accident and was seen many a night walking the streets. Though Robinson lived in Beaver County and probably never came close to this tunnel, he inspired urban legends that spread far and wide.
