A 270 Year's old family's base... The old ancestor, Ramshankar Bandhyopadhyay, was a 'Kulin' Brahman and came from Dhaka as the "Gharjamai" of the famous landlord Sabarna Chowdhury. He got the entire taluk of Agarpara (Then knows as 'Aghorpolli') as his dowry. The family celebrates rituals like Durgapuja and Kalipuja. Being the part of "Shakti" cult (Shakta, as they are), Durga is their family goddess and the family celebration of Durgapuja is a sensation among the local people for last 2 centuries.
