This facility is used for figure skating routines, ice hockey and leisure skating, which the lucky visitor to P'yŏngyang may be invited to do. The rink measures 1800 square metres. There is also practice space total 6,000 square metres. The rink building is conical 65.2 metres high. The building is supported by 24 blue and white inclined pillars meant to make one feel as if one were soaring. There is a tea shop, as well as facilities for children and practicing athletes (for figure skating and ice hockey). This one of the DPRK's international venues, that hosts many foreign exhibitions.
