Yanggakdo International Hotel (Pyongyang)

Opened in 1995, this hotel is 48 stories high with 1,001 guest rooms (most of which are, according to some sources, rarely used). There is a rotating restaurant on the top floor. This is an international hotel and the lodging assignment of many a visiting European sports club as well as tourists. There is a casino located in the building's sub-basement.

It was featured in the graphic novel "Pyongyang", where author Guy Delisle stayed during his visit to NK.
